Ram ProMaster City Returns for 2027
Ram is bringing the ProMaster City back for the 2027 model year, giving fleets a compact commercial van option in a market that has largely moved toward larger, more expensive vans. Pricing starts at $39,995 for the Tradesman Cargo, with both cargo and passenger configurations available in Tradesman and SLT trims.
All models use a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 166 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Maximum payload and towing capacity are both rated at 2,000 pounds. Standard equipment includes a 10-inch touchscreen, digital rearview mirror, digital instrument cluster, and heated front seats.
For fleets, the ProMaster City could fill an important gap for urban delivery, service, and other applications that do not require a full-size van. Its sub-$40,000 starting price, smaller footprint, and 2,000-pound payload capacity could also help reduce acquisition costs compared with larger commercial vans. Production is expected to begin later in 2026, with dealer arrivals planned for the first quarter of 2027.
