U.S. Gas Prices Hold Steady with Regional Variations and Slight Declines

Gas prices remain relatively stable nationwide, with the national average at $3.13 per gallon—down 52 cents from a year ago—according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Roughly half of U.S. states are seeing slight decreases, while others are experiencing mild increases due to oil prices stabilizing in the low $60s per barrel. Prices are expected to fluctuate between $3.10 and $3.20 in the coming week.

Regionally, the Gulf Coast continues to offer the lowest prices at $2.68, while the West Coast remains the most expensive at $4.19.

Mississippi leads the top 10 list of cheapest states for gas at $2.67, and 23 states now average under $2.99 per gallon—an increase from previous weeks.
