Beyond the Vehicle Specs: Key Takeaways from This Year’s Fleet Preview Events

#收购#车队事件#订购

I've had the opportunity to attend several fleet preview events this year, including those hosted by Ford and Stellantis. Each provided valuable insights into the future of fleet, from safety and connectivity advancements to electrification and evolving vehicle design. What stood out most was seeing how manufacturers are addressing the changing needs of fleet operators through improved driver experience, greater efficiency, and expanded vehicle offerings. I've been asked which preview was my favorite, but honestly, each brought something unique to the table. The hands-on vehicle experience, direct conversations with product teams, and networking with industry peers were just as valuable as the vehicles themselves. My biggest takeaway: look beyond the specs. Some of the best insights come from the conversations and shared challenges across the industry. For those who attended fleet previews this year, which event impressed you most and why?

Couldn't agree more. The best insights rarely come from the vehicle itself—they come from the conversations around it. Understanding emerging trends, shared challenges, and future direction helps fleet leaders make better decisions long after the event is over.

I certainly echo those comments. I had the opportunity to attend the Ford Pro Fleet Preview, where I connected with like-minded individuals in the industry, learned about emerging AI strategies, and gained additional product knowledge. This event demonstrated that the future of fleet management goes beyond just new vehicles; it lies in the ability to leverage evolving technology and strategic partnerships to drive efficiency and maximize fleet performance.

Solid observation, Sandy! I had the pleasure of attending Ford Pro's event with you and agree that the conversations away from the main stage were an invaluable highlight. Ford leadership frequently spoke about their commitment to listening to customers, and I appreciated that they were accessible and that their agenda allowed for a healthy mix of listening and learning, on and off the stage.

I was fortunate to attend the GM Show, which was great! Compared to years past, there was a sizable shift away from EVs and toward fleet-friendly products. The new Silverado 1500 looks amazing. GM's lineup continues to evolve and improve for fleets.

Hey Sandy, It was great connecting with you and the Emkay group at the Ford Pro event. From a client perspective I was most interested in hearing about the Mobile Service offerings as vehicle downtime directly impacts revenue in my fleet. While the content was very US-centric it gave me a lot of insight to follow up with my local Ford Rep in Canada. The technology and AI capabilities were impressive, although I'd still prefer to leverage those through my FMC platform. Looking forward to hearing more from Ford Pro on the return of the Transit Connect - this was a shared sentiment from the group of fleet managers I spoke with at the event.
