2027 Subaru Forester Order Banks Now Open
Subaru has opened order banks for the 2027 Forester Gas and Hybrid, with updated pricing aimed at making both models more competitive. Supply is expected to be strong, with initial deliveries beginning in December. All 2027MY Forester fleet production will be sourced from Subaru’s Indiana plant.
The Forester is largely carryover for 2027, but there are several important lineup changes. Gas-powered Sport, Sport Onyx, and Touring trims have been discontinued, making Sport and Touring Hybrid-only. The Sport Hybrid also drops its previous bronze exterior accents.
For fleets ordering the Forester Premium with Option Package 15, the correct fleet order code is VFD-15. It is identically equipped to VFC-15, but VFC-15 is reserved for the retail channel and will be produced in Japan. Strong supply, competitive pricing, domestic fleet production, and projected resale performance could make the 2027 Forester an attractive option for compact-SUV fleet applications.

Federal Reserve Raises Interest Rates for First Time in Three Years
The Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate by 0.25 percentage points on September 16, bringing the target range to 3.75%–4.00%. The decision was unanimous and marks the Fed’s first rate increase in more than three years. The Fed cited continued elevated inflation and said the increase is intended to help return inflation toward its 2% target.
Canadian Used-Vehicle Market Shows Signs of Stabilizing
Canadian wholesale used-vehicle values declined just 0.05% last week, showing a slower pace of depreciation. Car values increased 0.01%, marking their first weekly gain since early May, while Truck and SUV values fell 0.09%. Sub-Compact Crossovers/SUVs led the market with a 1.01% increase, while Full-Size Vans posted one of the largest declines at 0.54%.
