Ram Brings Back ProMaster City with Larger Design and New Features for 2027

The 2027 Ram ProMaster City marks the return of Ram’s small commercial van after the model was discontinued in 2022. The new version is larger and designed for businesses such as contractors, delivery services, and shuttle operators. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 166 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels. Ram expects the van to tow about 2,000 pounds.

The van offers 167 cubic feet of cargo space and can fit 4×8 sheets of building materials or two standard pallets. It is available as either a cargo or passenger van, with seating for up to eight people. Inside, standard features include a 10-inch digital gauge cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and heated front seats. The van will be offered in Tradesmen and SLT trims.

Orders are expected to open later this year, with U.S. sales beginning in early 2027 at a starting price under $40,000.
