Ram Expands Capability and Options for 2027 Heavy Duty Pickups
Ram has announced several updates for its 2027 Heavy Duty lineup, highlighted by increased payload capacity on select Ram 3500 configurations and broader availability of popular options. Certain Ram 3500 Regular Cab and Crew Cab models equipped with the 6.4L HEMI V8 now offer up to 400 pounds of additional payload, while towing and payload ratings remain among the segment's strongest. Ram also expanded standalone availability of features such as the Warn winch, Sport Performance hood, and beadlock-capable wheels on select trims, along with introducing two new exterior colors.
The increased payload on commonly ordered configurations is a meaningful enhancement for fleets that routinely haul equipment or materials without moving to a higher-class truck. With no changes to the proven 6.4L HEMI V8 or high-output 6.7L Cummins diesel powertrains, the updates focus on improving capability and offering greater flexibility when configuring vehicles to meet specific operational needs.
